 As Salam Hospital to organize Egyptian Lung Health Conference

In celebration of World COPD Day, As Salam Hospital Chest Department will organize the Egyptian Lung Health Conference on 17 November, 2016 at the Grand Nile Tower, Cairo, Egypt.

The conference will feature as well latest updates on Pulmonary Medicine including : COPD, Asthma, Pulmonary Hypertension, Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis, TB management and Pneumonia.

Egyptian Lung Health Conference is a health awareness conference that aims to address Lung health and ways to improve patients’ quality of life. The conference will host faculty from Cairo University Kasr Al Ainy Chest Department.

The conference comes as one of the educational events organized by As Salam Chest Department after its success in organizing World Asthma Day in May 2016.

The Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP) will host the Egyptian African Critical Care Summit to be held at the Grand Nile Tower ( Hyatt), Cairo, Egypt from 10 till January, 2017.

The Summit comes after the successful Egyptian Critical Care Summit held on January 2015.

The Summit will host Dr Christofer Farmer, Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Arizona, USA and Past President of Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), as the summit featured guest speaker.

ECCCP Critical Care Egypt

The Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP), hosted on 14 April, 2016 a hands-on workshop on the logical path towards lung protection which was held at the Learning Resource Center, Cairo University and presided by Dr Sherif Mokhtar, President ECCCP.

The workshop guest faculty was Dr Armin Kalenka, head of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department at the district hospital Kreiskrankenhaus Bergstraße in Germany. The workshop was sponsored by GE.

Pulmonary Medicine Update Conference 2016 took place at Kasr Al Ainy School of Medicine, Cairo University on the 10th and 11th of February, 2016.

The conference was presided by Professor Medhat A Soliman, Professor of Pulmonary Medicine at Cairo University.

A panel of eminent guest faculty including Dr Antonio Anzueto, Dr Lluis Blanch,and Dr Jose Nicolas provided an update on several topics in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine through the scientific program of the conference which extended over 2 days. The conference was endorsed by the Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP )

Pulmonary Medicine Update  series has been organized by Scribe since 1997 and hosted several eminent experts in the field of Pulmonary Critical Care medicine.

Professor Jose Maria Nicolas is chief of the Intensive Care section at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, Spain. He has visited Egypt as guest faculty of e-ICU Egypt conference in December 2015.
